The panel on this colorful piece is 11 inches by 14 inches. The Indigo Bunting and the fence post its perched on are both hand carved from Basswood. The feather detail has been realistically depicted. The bird is looking back to make sure he’s not being watched, before he enjoys those wonderful sunflower seeds.

Once again Wendy’s painting skills have created a bright cheerful backdrop to showcase this bird. The foreground is filled with beautifully painted sunflowers. And to accent them, Wendy has made some of the flower petals “bend out” of the panel making them look unimaginable. And to further accentuate the painting, in the background a farmers windmill patiently waits for the wind to move its blades.
