This piece of “Unimaginable Wildlife Art” is 18 inches by 24 inches. The bird and the hand are carved out of select Basswood. The hand comes out of the panel 7 inches; and it’s 4 inches wide. The detail in the hand has been meticulously carved; right down to the fingernails and wrinkles. And to add a three dimensional look, the shirt sleeve has been molded around the arm.

The Chickadee is 5 inches long from tail to beak. It’s masterfully carved, detailed, and painted to be ultra-realistic. You can almost see it picking up the seeds from the hand.

The foreground in the painting depicts a birder resting on a stonewall after a bit of a hike up a hill. The background is a colorful vista of a peaceful summer valley. The valley is dotted with a patchwork of farms, fields, and pastures. This woodcarving and painting masterpiece is the place: “Where Two Dimensions Meet.”
