This round panel portrays a tributary coming off a lake. The panel is 20 inches in diameter. The Red Winged Black Bird is 10 ½ inches long. It’s wingspan is 11 inches, and it extends out from the panel 6 ½ inches.

This beautiful bird is hand carved out of select Basswood. The open mouth, flashing wings, and fanned tail highlight the well know features of this remarkable bird. In addition to all the detail, the painting on this bird is exquisite as well. Posed landing on a cattail, you can almost hear the iconic calls of this handsome Red Winged Blackbird.

The bank, the cattails and green leaves are also carved from wood. They accent the panel and blend perfectly into the painting. The cattails are the connection on this panel where “Two Dimensions Meet.”
